Skyburst

Meteors are falling. Light the sky and chain them.

Fireworks against a meteor shower. A meteor caught in a burst explodes too and can set off the ones beside it, so a single well-aimed shot can chain through a whole falling cluster. You get ten fireworks.

How to play Skyburst

Meteors are falling on a hilltop village at night. Tap the sky to launch a firework from the tower. It flies up, slows, and bursts where you tapped — so aim a little ahead of where the meteors are going.

A meteor caught in a burst explodes too, and its burst can catch the meteors next to it: that's a chain. Each link scores more than the last (25, 50, 75…). Meteors fall in loose groups that draw together as they fall, so one well-timed firework can chain through a whole group.

You start with 10 fireworks and there are no free refills. A chain of 5 or more sends up a supply kite; burst it for +5 fireworks. If the tower runs dry, a villager wheels over a cart of 5 more, but you can't fire until it arrives.

UFOs swoop in and hover. Shoot one down for a random bonus: +5 fireworks, Big Bursts, Score ×1.5, Slow Time, Rebuild (a lost house comes back) or Star Shells (extra mini-bursts). Leave it too long and it beams a house away.

The night never ends, but it gets harder: faster meteors, bigger groups, and a new kind of meteor every 30 seconds — splitters, wobblers, streaks, embers (a friend: bigger chain bursts), armoured, seekers, boulders and phantoms. You have 6 houses. When the last one is gone, the run is over.

Scoring: 25 × the link number for every meteor (the 5th link in a chain is worth 125), +300 for each UFO, and everything is worth 50% more while Score ×1.5 is on.

On a touch screen, you can turn on Burst slightly above my finger on the start screen so your fingertip doesn't hide the target. On a computer, click to fire, P pauses and M mutes.
