Hold the right half of the screen for gas and the left half to brake (hold it when stopped to reverse). On a computer, press and hold either half with the mouse, or use → / D and ← / A.
In the air the same two holds tilt the bike: gas leans it back (nose up), brake leans it forward (nose down). Land with both wheels flat on the slope for a clean landing: a burst of boost and +1 to your stunt chain (up to ×5). The chain ends if you crash or ride 4 seconds without a jump.
Flips: a full turn in the air is a Backflip or Frontflip. Land it clean for the full trick points; a sloppy landing still pays half.
Your helmet touching the ground is a crash: back to the last checkpoint after a second, chain lost, nothing else lost. Falling into a gap is a crash too. If the bike ever gets wedged and won't move while you hold gas, it hops forward on its own after a couple of seconds (+2 s on the clock).
A run is 8 courses. Ride each one to the beacon of light before its clock runs out. Running out costs a helmet (you have 3), keeps your points and moves you on. Time crystals add 2 seconds; a boost cell doubles the boost on your next clean landing.
Each course adds one new thing: dunes and small ramps; big jumps over gaps; seesaw planks that tip under you (or launch you if you're fast); a high line of ledges with crystals above a slower track; quicksand pits that bog you down to a crawl (hit the ramp before each one fast and fly over); drawbridges that rise and fall (the lamp turns amber before they move, and a rising deck works as a ramp); crumbling slabs that drop 0.6 s after you touch them; and finally everything at once and a loop you must hit at full speed.
Scoring: 1,000 for reaching the beacon, 100 per second left on the clock, 500 for a gold time; clean landing 100 × chain; flips 500 / 1,500 (double) / 3,000 (triple) × chain; 50 per crystal; 1,000 per helmet left at the end.
