The car drives itself forward. Press anywhere and drag left or right to steer: the further you drag, the harder it turns. On a computer, drag with the mouse, or hold ← / → (or A / D).
Drifting: steer hard at speed and the tyres break loose. The car slides on its momentum with its nose pointing into the bend, and the sparks charge blue, then orange, then violet. While sliding, steer more to slide wider and tighter, less to straighten. Ease off and the tyres catch and fire a boost: the longer the slide, the bigger the boost.
A run is 5 stages of 3 gates. The clock starts at 40 seconds and every gate adds time (fewer seconds each stage). Run out of time and the run ends. Leaving the road never crashes you: just past the edge costs nothing, further out you slow down, and an arrow points you back.
Each stage adds one new thing: Sweepers (wide road, with a glowing ideal line for the first two gates; where it turns orange, slide), Hairpins (tighter corners and white chevron speed pads), Narrows (narrow road and chicanes), Slick (blue ice: less grip, but slides charge 1.5× faster) and Forks (the road splits into a short, tight path lined with sparks or the long, wide way round).
Daily Circuit is the same track for everyone today. Your first run is your leaderboard entry; after that you race a ghost of your best attempt, and you can copy a result line to share.
Scoring: 1 point per metre, 10 per gold spark (+100 and +0.5 s for a full ribbon), boosts 50 / 150 / 400 for blue / orange / violet, 300 per gate, and 50 per second left on the clock when you finish.
P pauses, M mutes and C switches the camera between turning with the car and north-up.
