A country's flag and name appear at the top. Find that country on the world map and drop a pin on it before the 20-second timer runs out.
On a phone, tap the map once to zoom in on that area, then tap again to place your pin. Drag the pin to adjust it, then press Drop pin. The globe button zooms back out. On a computer, click to place the pin and use the mouse wheel or the + / − buttons to zoom.
After each drop, the real country lights up and a line shows how far you were from its nearest border. Press Next when you're ready for the next flag. If time runs out, your pin drops where it is. With no pin, the round scores 0.
Scoring: a pin inside the border scores 1,000. Outside, you lose 1 point for every 2 km to the nearest border, so 2,000 km away scores nothing. A game is 10 flags, up to 10,000 points.
Easy draws country borders and uses 119 large or well-known countries. Hard shows coastlines only and uses all 193, tiny island nations included. Each mode has its own leaderboard.
On a keyboard: Enter or Space to drop and go to the next flag, + / − to zoom, 0 to see the whole world, P to pause, M to mute.
