A cute critter is hiding inside every block. Break away every cube that isn't part of it. When only the critter is left, it springs to life in full colour.
Number clues. A number on a cube's face tells you how many critter cubes sit in that straight row, going straight through the block from that face. A plain number means those cubes are all in one connected group. A circled number means they're split into 2 groups, and a square means 3 or more groups. 0 means you can break the whole row. A blank face just has no clue. Every puzzle can be solved by logic alone, no guessing needed.
Break knocks out the cube you tap. Mark paints cubes you're sure belong to the critter; marked cubes can't be broken by accident (tap again with Mark to clear one). Drag to turn the block, and use Peel to hide outer layers so you can reach the cubes inside: tap the arrow to pick a direction, then − and +.
Lives. Breaking a critter cube costs a life and 100 points, and that cube stays locked in red. You get 3 lives per stage; lose them all and the run ends.
Hints. Stuck? Tap Hint (the light bulb) and it solves one whole row for you: the empty cubes break and the critter cubes get marked, so a hint never costs a life. You get 3 hints per run, shared across all 8 stages, with no refills. The Daily Puzzle gets its own 3. Each hint costs 250 points.
Stages. A run has 8 stages, from small blocks up to big ones, and the critters are picked at random each run. The Daily Puzzle is one big critter that's the same for everyone today, with its own leaderboard that resets at midnight Pacific time. You can retry it, but your first scoring run is the one that counts.
Scoring: 20 points for every critter cube revealed, plus a time bonus (5 points for every second under par), plus a stage bonus (200 × the stage number, or 1,000 for the Daily), minus 100 per broken critter cube and 250 per hint.
On a keyboard: 1 Break, 2 Mark, arrow keys turn, Tab changes the peel direction, + / − peel, R resets the view, H uses a hint, P pauses and M mutes.
