Yarn Lasso

Classic Snake with one rule flipped: running into your own yarn doesn't kill you — it closes a loop, and every button inside the loop is captured.

  • Greed against length. A loop with n buttons scores 50 × n², so one loop round 6 buttons (1,800) beats six loops of one (300).
  • But loops cost yarn. Closing a loop uses up all the yarn in it. Eat seeds to grow back (+2 each). After each loop the yarn pauses so you can pick a new direction.
  • Hazards: the table edge and spiky pin tins cost a life. Beetles nibble your tail off — but lasso one for +300.
  • 6 gardens, 3 lives, faster yarn each garden. In the first four, a glow shows what a loop would catch.
